Scott Reid - Managing Partner
Scott has worked in the mortgage industry over 10 years, founding Alpine in 2004 in Newington, NH. In this role he has led the development and execution of all sales, marketing, operations and customer service initiatives. Prior to founding Alpine, Scott worked as a consultant with the professional services group at Bowstreet, a NH based startup software company that was ultimately acquired by IBM.
Scott believes that the long term success of a mortgage company can be directly measured by the quality of its customer service delivery. The quality of a company's customer service is only as good as the employees that make up the company-the best customer service cannot be delivered without the best employees. As a result, his daily activities are focused on creating, developing and managing the processes and culture that allow Alpine to deliver the highest levels of customer service possible to Alpine's customers and referral partners. Scott is also actively involved with identifying and recruiting the best operations and sales talent available in the marketplace in order to support Alpine's long term goals.
Scott earned his MBA, magna cum laude, from Babson College and his BS in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. In his spare time, Scott enjoys most any outdoor activity including hiking, skiing and travelling with his wife and two daughters. An avid fly fisherman, Scott has fished extensively throughout Argentina, Chile, Canada, Alaska and the United States. Scott is a member of the Atlantic Salmon Federation, Trout Unlimited and the Appalachian Mountain Club. He is also a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain and a member of the National Ski Patrol.
Chris Urick - Partner
Chris has a diverse background of experience formed over the last 18 years while working at many of the largest mortgage lenders in the country. Providing great customer service and developing trust through superior execution are the cornerstones on which he has built his reputation. Chris has always taken pride in putting together great support teams that shared his business values. Between 1999 and 2003 Chris and his support teams achieved Chairman's Level top producer status while at Accubanc Mortgage, North American Mortgage and First Horizon Home Loans. In 2004, Chris moved into a management role where he continued his success by building successful sales teams and wholesale branches at First Magnus and Sidus Financial.
As a Partner of Alpine, Chris' responsibilities include managing business partner relationships, growing the Alpine sales and operations teams and crafting the internal systems that make Alpine the best lender of its kind.
An avid golfer with a love of good food and wine, Chris lives locally in Bedford, NH with his wife and three children. He grew up in the Amherst and Milford, NH area and is a 1983 graduate of Milford High School and a 1988 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He also enjoys vacationing in Hilton Head, SC, where he has a home with his family.
Kurt Strandson - Vice President Sales
Prior to joining Alpine, Kurt founded Radiant Mortgage in 2006 in Manchester NH. He started his mortgage banking career in 2003 at Beacon Mortgage in Manchester, NH. While at Beacon, Kurt was eventually promoted to Sr. Vice President/Regional Sales Manager where he managed offices in Dayville, CT, Manchester, NH, and Portland, ME.
Kurt has always been an avid industry advocate and has based his business on building strong client relationships with an emphasis on ethics and compliance. He is currently the MBBA- NH President for 2011-2012. Over the last 6 years Kurt has been involved legislatively at both the national and state levels as a NH National Association of Mortgage Brokers delegate and a Board Member of the Mortgage Bankers and Brokers Association of NH. During this time he has met and worked with legislators and the Federal Reserve Banks of Washington, DC and Boston, MA as an industry representative. Kurt is a proud member of the New Hampshire Home Builders and Remodelers Association as well as many other real estate and business related organizations. He is also a Trustee of the Trust Funds for the Town of Hooksett.
As a mortgage consultant, his focus is on providing the highest level of customer service possible. He believes that his background and knowledge of the mortgage industry and financial markets provides him with the unique ability to help borrowers select the proper mortgage product in order to maximize their tax benefits and personal financial positions. He has built his business via referrals and strongly believes that he provides his clients with the highest levels of service and value.
Kurt is one of 5 children and grew up in Danielson, CT where he attended Killingly High School, graduating in 1996. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Economics-Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Kurt is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of New Hampshire.
Kurt is the proud father of three beautiful daughters and one son. He resides In Hooksett, NH and is licensed to originate loans in NH, CT and MA.
Bob Tilton - Director Human Capital
Bob has acquired a varied background in mortgage lending over the past 13 years while working in the industry. His experience in retail and wholesale mortgage lending has allowed him to develop a unique, multi-faceted skill set and knowledge base. He has a reputation for problem solving both procedural and technical issues while maintaining a calm demeanor and delivering the highest quality of customer service.
He resides in Goffstown, NH with his wife and three children. He is supportive of his family's endeavors from years of camping with the Boy Scouts to hours on the little league fields with his two older sons who now attend college. He continues to volunteer with his local YMCA as his younger daughter is very active in the gymnastics program.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy as an Operating Room Technician and earned his degree in Data Processing from San Diego City College. He also worked with traumatic brain injured adults as an Administrator of a Supported Residential Care Facility. In his spare time Bob enjoys woodworking/carpentry, traveling, fishing, hiking, and skiing.
